PEUGEOT has launched two new versions of its Speedfight scooter for 2008.
The Speedfight has sold more than 400,000 units since its launch in 1996 and, with its aggressive styling, has often been credited with defining the modern sports scooter.
The new Speedfight Ultimate plays on the machine’s sporty heritage and sharpens it with a radical new paint scheme – featuring a metallic blue and silver body, white shock absorbers and new tri-spoke alloy wheels.
The second new Speedfight continues the tradition of limited-edition specials and the R-Cup pays homage to Peugeot’s successes in the World Rally Championship.
Both new models feature ‘snake-bite’ exhausts, two-tone sports saddles, rear spoilers, liquid-cooled, 50cc, two-stroke engines, and 180mm front and rear disc brakes.
Both the Speedfight Ultimate and R-Cup retail at £1,929 on the road and come with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
