MITSUBISHI is claiming its new-look Colt is worth more than a Ferrari F430 after excellent residual values were predicted for both the three and five door models, 22% ahead of the Italian super car.
The recently refreshed super-mini recorded best in class residual values, beating the popular Ford Fiesta, Toyota Yaris, Mazda2 and Vauxhall Corsa models.
New figures suggest that the CZ1 and CZ2 three door variants will retain 75% of their new value after 12-months and 10,000 miles and 41% after three-years and 60,000 miles. Meanwhile, the five door version is expected to retain 74% after one year and 40% after three years.
“We are really pleased with these residual values," said Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi’s Director of Sales and Marketing. "They underline the strong value of this car both as a new-car proposition and as a used car for the future. It’s also a great reward for the way we have responsibly sold the Colt since its relaunch in mid-2004. Beating a Ferrari is, of course, a bit of fun but the serious message is that we are top of the pile with all our main competition in the B-segment”.
